Brand Specialist

As Varlo continues to expand its presence through retail partnerships, expos, and endurance sport events across the country, we are building a network of Brand Specialists to help represent and activate the Varlo brand in key markets.

Brand Specialists serve as local representatives of Varlo, supporting brand activations, retail partnerships, and event experiences that connect athletes and customers with the brand.

This is a paid, event-based role designed for individuals who are passionate about endurance sport, community, and delivering exceptional brand experiences.

While the role is open to individuals outside of Team Varlo, current Team Varlo members are strongly encouraged to apply, as their familiarity with the brand and community provides a natural advantage.

Role Overview

Brand Specialists will be part of a dedicated roster and may be invited to participate in opportunities throughout the year including:

• Triathlon and endurance sport expos
• Retail partner activations, including REI store events and brand education huddles
• Brand presentations and product demonstrations
• Community and endurance sport brand activations

We are particularly interested in individuals who are comfortable working in expo environments, engaging with athletes and customers, and helping create a welcoming and informative brand presence.

This role is event-based and opportunity-driven, meaning participation is scheduled as opportunities arise within a specialist’s region.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Specialists may assist with:

• Serving as an Expo Specialist, helping manage booth engagement and athlete interactions
• Supporting retail partner activations, including REI events
• Acting as an in-store brand educator and activation specialist
• Sharing the Varlo brand story, mission, and product philosophy
• Educating athletes and customers on Varlo products and performance technology
• Helping create a welcoming and engaging experience for athletes and customers

Training & Preparation

Brand Specialists will participate in virtual onboarding and training sessions designed to prepare them to represent the brand.

Training will include:

• Varlo brand story and mission
• Product knowledge and performance technology
• Retail and expo engagement best practices
• Guidelines for representing Varlo at partner activations and events

This ensures all Brand Specialists are confident, knowledgeable, and prepared to represent the brand professionally.

Ideal Brand Specialists are individuals who are:

• Passionate about endurance sports and active lifestyles
• Comfortable engaging with athletes and customers in event and retail environments
• Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic
• Confident in educating others about products and brand stories
• Interested in expos, retail activations, and community events
• Flexible and available for select weekend events

Experience working expos, retail events, brand activations, or community events is a strong advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

Brand Specialists are compensated for their participation in events.

Compensation may include:

• Hourly or event-based pay for brand activations and expos
• Varlo product support
• Travel support when applicable
• Early access to new product launches and brand initiatives
